Apple may remove Dock Connector from iOS devices.

Kreg Snit, founder of best iPad Converter Soft, told me that his source told him that Apple plans to remove the Dock connector interface from iPod, iPad, iPhone, in order to save space for other components.

With the development of various wireless technology, the importance of Dock Connector interface is also slowly changing. With iCloud launched, the backup becomes much easier, users can sync large media files with WiFi. So this news seem reasonable.

Fingerprint verification may be available on iOS5.1

Siriproxy.net released one image showing that iOS5.1 may add fingerprint verification to increase the security of iPad or iPhone. When you turn it on, whenever you press home button, iOS device will ask you for fingerprint authentication to unlock the screen.

I talked with Kreg Snit, one iPad guru and here is his blog. He personally doesn’t think it’s possible soon. Currently there is no fingerprint scanner in iPad or iPhone, how could it gain the user’s fingerprint. It will increase the BOM cost and power consumption of iOS device. Currently there is few fingerprint scanner in smart phone and tablet computer. And the user feedback isn’t good.
